Uber hires its first chief diversity officer

Uber hired Bo Young Lee as the ride-hailing company's first chief diversity and inclusion officer.

Lee, who was the global diversity and inclusion officer at financial services firm Marsh, will report to Uber’s chief human resources officer, Liane Hornsey.

Uber has been accused of sexism at the company, which led to a public effort to be more transparent and increase diversity.
