Uber Eats is facing thousands of discrimination allegations after the company in June removed delivery fees for some Black-owned restaurants.
Uber officials said it has received more than 8,500 demands for arbitration over claims of charging fees based on race.
“We’re proud to support Black-owned businesses with this initiative, as we know they’ve disproportionately been impacted by the health crisis," an Uber spokesperson said.
