Uber CFO steps down after two years of surging growth

Uber Chief Financial Officer Brent Callinicos, who oversaw ballooning growth in the ride-hailing company over the last two years, is stepping down.

"Brent has done a wonderful job here at Uber but has decided that it is time for his next journey, one where his wife and daughter take the front seat," Uber CEO Travis Kalanick said in a statement.

According to USA Today, Callinicos will stay on as a consultant. Gautam Gupta, Callinicos' "right hand" on strategic finance, will be acting head of the finance division.
