Tyson wins bidding war for Hillshire Brands

Tyson submitted a binding offer to acquire Hillshire Brands for $63 per share, an all-cash deal valued at about $8.55 billion, including debt.

The agreement ends a weeks-long bidding war for Hillshire between Tyson and Pilgrim's Pride.

According to Fox Business, the agreement requires Hillshire Brand to exit an existing agreement to acquire Pinnacle Foods.
