Tyson Foods Inc. has been sued over the closure of a plant in the southeast Missouri town of Dexter.
An owner of three poultry farms in Arkansas that raised chickens for slaughter at the Missouri plant is seeking class-action status for the lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges suppliers in the area took on debt to make their facilities satisfactory for Tyson’s specifications, only for the plant to close and those investments to no longer be needed.
