Tyson Foods' profits jump 41%

Tyson Foods reported a 41 percent increase in third-quarter earnings, helped by lower feed and livestock costs.

The largest U.s. meat processor earned net income of $484 million, or $1.25 per share, compared with $343 million, or 83 cents per share, a year earlier.

Sales dropped to $9.4 billion from $10.1 billion.
