Two more businesses creating jobs, receiving credits

Posted online
Two southwest Missouri employers will be getting more than $127,000 from the state for creating jobs.

Boyd Aluminum Manufacturing Co., 3248 E. Division, and Aurora-based Service Vending Co. have been approved to receive tax credits from the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Enhanced Enterprise Zone program, according to two DED news releases. Both companies have announced plans to expand their businesses and add employees to their payroll.

Boyd Aluminum expects to add 15 jobs and invest $2.05 million in its manufacturing facility, the release said. It will receive $89,233 in EEZ credits over a five-year period.

Service Vending is creating 13 jobs and investing $800,000 in its bulk vending business. Its tax credits will total $38,455 over the next five years.

The news comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that Kraft Food Inc. plans to add 50 more full-time jobs and invest $9 million in capital to its Springfield manufacturing plant, 2035 E. Bennett St.
