Two incumbents among trio elected to Ozark school board

Voters in the Ozark School District retained two of three incumbents on the board of education in yesterday’s election.

Amber Bryant and Matthew Growcock were the top vote-getters in a contest that saw five candidates vying for three seats. Bryant earned 24.5% of the vote and Growcock earned 20.5%, according to unofficial results from the Christian County clerk’s office.

Also elected was Cindy Baker with 20%.

Incumbent Christina Tonsing came in fourth with 18%, trailed by Patrick Sullivan at just under 17%.

It is a second term for Bryant, who was elected in 2023 and is current president of the board. Growcock was appointed in 2025 to fill a vacated seat, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.

According to past SBJ reporting, Bryant is human resources director for the Christian County government. Growcock is president and general counsel of PMA Holdings LLC, and Baker is a licensed professional counselor and the owner of Touchstone Counseling LLC.
