Twitter users slam #RepealThe19th hashtag

A #RepealThe19th hashtag appeared on Twitter after FiveThirtyEight’s editor-in-chief Nate Silver tweeted a map based on a poll showing that Donald Trump would win if only men voted in the 2016 election.

The hashtag produced spades of tweets from women, Hillary Clinton supporters and others who were offended by the hashtag suggesting women should not have the right to vote.

Some Twitter users were skeptical of the level of support for the hashtag, blaming it on trolls.
