Twitter unveiled a privacy-protected version of its site to bypass surveillance and censorship in Russia and other countries.
The bypass, which works through the so-called dark web and the Tor browser, seeks to reverse Russian bans of free-flowing information amid its invasion of Ukraine, according to The Associated Press.
Facebook also is working on giving access to people inside Russia.
