Twitter announced yesterday Chief Operating Officer Adam Bain is stepping down to explore other opportunities.
The news caused the company's shares to dip 4.3 percent in after-hours trading.
Bain is widely credited with building a robust advertising business at the company even as it struggled with user growth, according to Reuters. He'll be replaced by Chief Financial Officer Anthony Noto, and the company will conduct a search for a new CFO.
