Twitter posts better-than-expected earnings

Twitter beat analysts' expectations for both earnings and revenue in the fourth quarter.

The company's earnings came to 31 cents per share, up 63 percent from a year earlier and ahead of the 25 cents per share analysts expected.

Revenue in the latest quarter rose 24 percent to $909 million. That's above the consensus forecast of $868 million.
