Twitter considering 10,000-character limit for tweets

Citing multiple sources familiar with the company's plans, Re/Code reports Twitter is considering a 10,000-character limit for tweets.

The sources said a feature allowing users to post longer tweets than the traditional 140 characters is on its way by the end of the first quarter.

The feature would display 140 characters as it does now but with a call to action indicating there is more to view.
