TV viewership grows to record for WNBA games

The WNBA has reported record TV viewership numbers.

The start of the WNBA's 28th season has been the most watched on TV networks in the basketball league's history, officials said.

The WNBA is averaging 1.3 million viewers per game this season, which started May 14. Last season's average was 462,000 viewers.
