Charlie Kirk, CEO and co-founder of conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, was killed Wednesday while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. He was 31.
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox called the killing "a political assassination." The shooter, who reportedly fired from a building roof on campus, remains at large.
Kirk co-founded Turning Point in suburban Chicago in 2012 when he was 18. He went on to be a close ally and supporter of President Donald Trump.
