Turning 'Game of Thrones' into an all-conquering craft beer

It’s such an obvious pairing, matching craft beers to one of the craftiest and most wildly popular fantasy series in recent years.

Today, craft-beer brewery Ommegang, in partnership with Home Box Office, releases its third beer brewed specifically to match themes of the “Game of Thrones” TV and book series: Fire and Blood. The Belgian-style red ale, inspired by the character Daenerys Targaryen and her three dragons, is reported to have “a bit of heat,” according to Bloomberg Businessweek

The two previous specialty brews, Iron Throne and Take the Black, also were linked to characters in the series and were first released in March of last year.
