Turkey accuses US of 'stab in back' as currency woes persist

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey's president, said the United States is seeking to "stab it in the back" with new sanctions.

The United States last week imposed sanctions on Turkey over the country's refusal to release a U.S. preacher who is imprisoned in the country.

The sanctions come as Turkey's lira is falling drastically against the U.S. dollar.
