Turbulent Senate race now in hands of Alabama voters

In a contentious race, Alabama voters will decide today whether to elect Republican Roy Moore or Democrat Doug Jones for U.S. Senate.

Moore, 70, is attempting a political resurrection amid accusations of sexual misconduct with teenage girls when he was in his 30s.

Jones is best known for prosecuting two Ku Klux Klansmen who bombed a church in 1963, killing four black girls.

Alabama has not sent a Democrat to the upper chamber of Congress since 1992.
