President Donald Trump is seeking a coronavirus aid package that could approach $1 trillion.
Trump is asking Congress to pass legislation that would send emergency checks to Americans and enlist the military to operate emergency hospitals, among other measures.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is calling on his colleagues to vote for the package, despite some Republicans' objections.
“Gag, and vote for it anyway," he said.
