Trump to nominate new deputy attorney general

President Donald Trump intends to nominate Jeffrey Rosen as the next deputy attorney general, White House officials said yesterday night.

The current deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Rosen would succeed Rod Rosenstein, who previously announced he would resign. His resignation is expected in mid-March.

“His years of outstanding legal and management experience make him an excellent choice to succeed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has served the Department of Justice over many years with dedication and distinction,” Attorney General William Barr said.
