Trump to hike tariffs on China

President Donald Trump tweeted U.S. tariffs on certain Chinese goods will be increased.

The 10-25% hike is scheduled to go into effect on Friday, Trump said in the tweet.

A new 25% tariff on $325 billion worth of Chinese goods also is slated to be imposed.

The announcement came just days after Trump indicated trade talks with China were going well.
