Trump states would be hit hard by new Chinese tariffs

A second round of proposed tariffs from China would more aggressively target U.S. export products, according to CNBC. The tariffs would be even tougher on states that voted for Donald Trump.

Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska would see heavily increased tariffs on corn, soybeans and other grains. Michigan, Indiana and Ohio would see increases for their production of auto parts and cars.

In Missouri, exports of cars and auto parts would get hit in the proposed second round of tariffs, coming to almost $2 billion in exports, according to a CNBC graphic.
