President Donald Trump yesterday signed an executive order meant to boost resources for workforce training.
The order creates the National Council for the American Worker. It will be tasked with creating a workforce development strategy.
"The fact is that companies are pouring back into our country," Trump said at the executive order signing event. "Companies that, frankly, left 10 and 20 years ago — and they are coming back — and we need people to work for those companies.”
