Trump signs internet privacy repeal

President Donald Trump yesterday signed a bill repealing internet privacy rules passed last year by the Federal Communications Commission.

The regulations would have required internet service providers to ask permission of users to gain access to such data as history, geolocation, and financial and medical information.

The bill used a tool called the Congressional Review Act, which allows Congress and the president to overturn recently passed agency regulations.
