Posted online

Former President Donald Trump is safe after a second assassination attempt this year.

Trump was playing golf during the incident at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

The suspect, identified in media reports as Ryan Routh, 58, reportedly was hiding in bushes near the property line when Secret Service agents spotted a gun barrel and opened fire. The suspect, who fled and was later caught, dropped an AK-47-style assault rifle, two backpacks and a GoPro camera.

Trump previously was wounded in July after an attacker opened fire at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
