Trump renews call for border wall funding

President Donald Trump today is expected to kick off a fresh effort to secure border wall funding through Congress.

“I would just say that the whole issue of the wall and border security is of paramount importance,” said Larry Kudlow, the president’s top economic adviser. “We have a crisis down there.”

Trump is expected to request $8.6 billion in the annual budget proposal for wall construction. He also plans to ask for another $3.6 billion to replenish military construction funds he diverted to start work on the wall via his national emergency declaration.
