Trump reaches trade deal with UK

President Donald Trump has announced a trade deal with the United Kingdom.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said that while the deal would maintain the universal 10% tariff, it would open the U.K. market to some $5 billion in U.S. exports. Automobile tariffs are being lowered, as well, for the first 100,000 vehicles.

“With this deal, the U.K. joins the United States in affirming that reciprocity and fairness is an essential and vital principle of international trade,” Trump said.
