Author and former television host Dr. Mehmet Oz is slated to be nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Trump said in a statement that Dr. Oz would “work closely with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to take on the illness industrial complex, and all the horrible chronic diseases left in its wake.” Kennedy is Trump's pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.
The Department of Health and Human Services oversees the CMS, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
