Trump order removes environmental review of major projects

President Donald Trump yesterday signed an executive order removing some environmental reviews on the construction of highways and other major projects.

“Unnecessary delays in timely agency actions will deny our citizens opportunities for jobs and economic security and will hinder our economic recovery from the national emergency, keeping millions of Americans out of work," the order reads.

Opponents argue such a measure emphasizes the economy and jobs over the environment and public health.
