President Donald Trump officially nominated Robert Wilkie as the next secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Wilkie is the second official nominee chosen by Trump after Navy Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson withdrew from consideration over allegations concerning his professional conduct and managerial abilities.
Wilkie has served as acting VA secretary since its former leader, David Shulkin, was removed from his post.
