Trump moves to stop spouses of H-1B visa holders from working

The Trump administration plans to prohibit spouses of H-1B visa holders from getting jobs in the United States.

The move would repeal an Obama-era rule put into place in 2015.

Officials with the Department of Homeland Security didn't specifically explain why they were doing away with the rule. They said the department is acting "in light of" the "Buy American, Hire American" executive order President Donald Trump signed in April.
