Trump: Harvard must pay back relief money

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said Harvard University would be required to pay back $8.6 million in relief funds from a coronavirus stimulus package.

“Harvard’s going to pay back the money,” said Trump, who signed the bill providing the funds to the school last month. “They have one of the largest endowments anywhere in the country, maybe in the world, I guess, and they’re going to pay back that money.”

Harvard officials said they would keep the funds and distribute them to students in need.
