President Donald Trump applauded reports that technology corporation Oracle is in talks to buy TikTok's U.S. operations.
Trump said Oracle would be "a great company" to make the deal. Trump earlier this month ordered TikTok owner ByteDance to sell its U.S. business within 90 days or be shut down. Microsoft also has expressed interest in buying the U.S. assets.
Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison is a Trump supporter and held a fundraiser for him in February.
