Trump escalates attacks on his attorney general

President Donald Trump has stepped up his criticisms of his attorney general, Jeff Sessions.

"Obama era investigations, of two very popular Republican Congressmen were brought to a well publicized charge, just ahead of the Mid-Terms, by the Jeff Sessions Justice Department," Trump tweeted Monday. "Two easy wins now in doubt because there is not enough time. Good job Jeff......"

Rep. Duncan Hunter, of California, was indicted last month on charges that include campaign fund violations. Rep. Chris Collins, of New York, was separately indicted for allegedly engaging in insider trading.

A spokeswoman for Sessions declined comment.
