White House press secretary Sarah Sanders announced yesterday President Donald Trump donated his first-quarter salary to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The latest donation of $400,000 follows others to the Department of Transportation, the National Park Service, the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services.
Acting Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert Wilkie said the donation would be used for mental health and peer support programs, as well as financial aid and research.
