President Donald Trump is considering a former Microsoft executive for the White House's top economic adviser.
Chris Liddell may be tapped to replace Gary Cohn, a former Goldman Sachs president, who resigned.
Peter Navarro, a trade adviser to Trump who promoted the recent steel and aluminum import tariff proposal, also had been considered. However, he said he was not in the running. Conservative commentator Larry Kudlow also has been cited as a contender.
