President Donald Trump returned to the White House Monday night, less than a week after he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Trump had been in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for treatment. His doctor, Navy Cmdr. Sean Conley, earlier yesterday said Trump was still contagious and would not be fully “out of the woods” for another week. However, Trump met the standards for discharge, Conley said.
Trump sought to downplay the virus, which has killed more than 210,000 Americans.
“Don't be afraid of it," Trump said. "You’re going to beat it. We have the best medical equipment, we have the best medicines.”
