President Donald Trump gave the green light to Missouri's request for a federal disaster declaration.
Earlier last week, Gov. Mike Parson called for the order to receive greater federal assistance amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The order means eligible expenditures will be reimbursed for local governments, nonprofits and the state taking emergency protective measures.
