Trump agrees to support Republican presidential nominee

Yesterday, billionaire businessman and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he wouldn’t pursue a third-party White House bid and would support the GOP’s 2016 nominee – whether he’s the chosen candidate or not.

He announced his support for the party at a raucous news conference, saying he had signed a pledge, but still intends to win the nomination himself.

Trump’s pledge comes weeks after he caused a stir among party leadership and backers when he refused to promise he’d back the eventual nominee at the first Republican debate of the 2016 campaign.
