The Trump administration is pulling more funding from a high-speed rail project in California.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced $175 million in federal funding would be removed from the project. The decision comes a month after $4 billion in federal grants were canceled.
A California High-Speed Rail Authority spokesperson told CNBC that the move "is a continuation of the Trump administration's illegal, politically motivated and baseless attack on California High-Speed Rail and Central Valley communities."
