Trump administration bans cruises to Cuba

The Trump administration on Tuesday banned U.S. cruise lines from traveling to Cuba.

U.S. residents previously were allowing to visit the country as long as they participated in cultural activites.

“This administration has made a strategic decision to reverse the loosening of sanctions and other restrictions on the Cuban regime,” Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin said. "These actions will help to keep U.S. dollars out of the hands of Cuban military, intelligence and security services."
