The Trump administration has announced a $1 billion plan to bring egg prices down in the United States.
The plan includes up to $500 million for poultry producers to improve biosecurity measures, as well as financial relief and health treatments for bird flu.
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke L. Rollins said a planned five-point strategy "will restore stability to the egg market over the next three to six months."
