Troubled Aeropostale rehires former CEO

Aeropostale, the troubled teen-centric retailer struggling with sagging sales, profits and investor confidence, is turning to its former CEO to revive prospects.

Julian Geiger is back on board, replacing Thomas Johnson effective immediately, the company announced Monday.

According to USA Today, the operator of 923 Aeropostale stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, plus 148 P.S. from Aeropostale outlets, posted sales of $396.2 million in the second quarter, a 13 percent drop.
