Tronc in deal to acquire Chicago Sun-Times

Chicago Tribune parent Tronc signed a deal to buy rival Chicago Sun-Times.

Tronc CEO Justin Dearborn expects the Justice Department to approve the deal if no other buyers come forward within 15 days.

Terms of the proposed deal were not disclosed.
