The U.S. Treasury Department is blocking some reporters from attending the Group of 20 finance ministers’ meeting.
Individual reporters from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg were not granted credentials.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in an interview with The Associated Press that “it has nothing to do with point of view.”
