Federal Transit Administration Regional Administrator Mokhtee Ahmad presents a plaque of completion to Carol Cruise, City Utilities transit director, at an Aug. 30 open house for CU’s renovated transit facility. About 2,000 square feet of space were added to the existing building, 1505 Boonville Ave., to provide an employee break room, training facilities and an outdoor passenger shelter and bus turnout.

The project, funded by a $1.3 million FTA grant, was completed this summer after about a year of construction.
