TransCanada hustles to revive Keystone XL

TransCanada is planning to resubmit its proposal for the Keystone XL pipeline after an executive order signed by President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

Trump's executive orders give the OK for construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, two projects that stalled under President Barack Obama's administration.

Obama rejected TransCanada's permit application in November 2015. Energy Transfer Partner’s Dakota Access Pipeline is already under construction, but the Obama administration halted the project late last year amid protests by environmental and Native American groups.
