Boeing is moving forward with plans to replace striking workers in the St. Louis area, according to Reuters.
Boeing Vice President Dan Gillian said in a memo that training for the first group of replacement workers for munitions production and assembly mechanics would start Friday.
U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders this week called on Boeing to end the eight-week strike. "Do the right thing," he said in a letter to Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg. "Sign a fair contract."
