TPG to pay $2.3B for cable TV providers

Private-equity firm TPG agreed to buy two cable television providers for $2.25 billion, including debt. people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.

The companies are RCN and Grande Communications.

Google Capital, Alphabet Inc.’s growth-equity investment fund, will take a minority stake in the companies, according to the unnamed sources.
