Toys R Us may file for bankruptcy before holidays

Toys R Us is considering filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy before the holidays.

Citing a report from The Wall Street Journal, USA Today posted the chain's suppliers are not shipping new items until Toys R Us can pay cash for them up-front.

The toy retailer had $5 billion in debt as of April 29, according to USA Today. The company posted a net loss of $164 million in its first quarter that ended April 29.
